Day 1: Šenk homestead – the Jezerski vrh pass (Seeberg saddle) – the Ankova planina mountain pasture – Šenk homestead

In the early afternoon, we expect you at Šenk homestead. After the check-in, you will settle in your room/apartment or set up your tent. Then you can do your first cycling tour while staying on Jezersko. Cycling ascent to the Jezerski vrh (Seeberg saddle) pass is (besides cycling through the Kokra Valley) one of the most popular cyclist destinations. Four kilometres of the winding road will bring you to the border with Austria. There you can turn around and descent back to the Valley or you can turn left at the pass and continue your tour on dirt, but a well-maintained road that will lead you to the viewing point called Rakeževo. There you will also notice a tower with a panoramic camera. But what is more important: This spot will reward you with an amazing view over the Kamnik-Savinja Alps. After soaking some sun and enjoying splendid views, you can continue your tour to the Ankova planina mountain pasture. There used to be a frontier watch house. This is also the final stop of your tour. It is time to go back to Šenk homestead. At your request, we can serve a delicious 4-course dinner, made of ingredients that we grow on our homestead. In the evening you can pamper yourself with a massage or relax in the sauna. Overnight stay.

Cycling tour from Šenk homestead to the Ankova planina mountain

Day 2: Šenk homestead – Pečovnik – Šenk homestead

Your day will start with a hearty breakfast that will give you the energy to kick-start your day. Then it is time to head on your next cycling tour. You will start at Šenk homestead, pass Lake Planšar and continue along the main road to the centre of Zgornje Jezersko. Then you will descent and after two hairpin bends you will reach a part of the village of Zgornje Jezersko, named Spodnji kraj, where you will turn right following the signs for the Komatevra Valley. After a short ascent, you will soon reach the area of the former travertine quarry where you can take a short break. When you will arrive at a sign forVirnikova planinaand the mountain-rescue training centre, do not turn right, but stay on the road you are currently on. Soon you will pass Krtina Partisan hospital, farm Komatevra and hunting cabin and arrive at the ruins of a former frontier watch house on Mt. Pečovnik. Take a short break and then return to Šenk homestead. Enjoy your afternoon. At your request, we can serve you a delicious 3-course dinner. Overnight stay.

Day 3: Šenk homestead – Ovčje koče – Šenk homestead – Return home

The day at the farm starts with a rooster's crowing which, along with a beautiful sunrise, will gently wake you up. After the last breakfast at our homestead, another day, full of cycling adventures awaits you. Pass Lake Planšar and continue along the main road through the centre of Zgornje Jezersko. At the crossroads turn left and cross a beautiful wooden bridge (you cannot miss it). Paved road very soon starts to ascend and leads you to the former ski slope called Mali vrh. From there you will continue on a dirt road that ascends to the Mlinarjevo sedlo pass. There is also a very nice viewing spot that will reward you with a beautiful view over the Karawanken (Karavanke) mountain range and a part of the Valley of Jezersko. At the viewing spot, there is also a bench where you can take a short break. Then the road becomes flat or even slowly descends. It leads you up above the Kokra Valley. When you arrive at the parking lot there is only one short, but steep ascent in front of you and then you arrive at the cabin called Ovčja koča (Sheep cabin). You will be rewarded with a lovely view over Mt. Storžič and the Karawanken (Karavanke). You return to the Valley. Goodbye Jezersko!
