Green Key

We have extended our Green Key certificate.

In 2021 Šenk's homestead met all the required criteria and obtrained the Green Key sign, which supports our efforts to protect the environment. The organic certificate supports that our basic agricultural activity is environmentally friendly and thus our food is produced in an organic way, withour the use of fertilizers and plant protection products. In addition to that, all our work in the field of tourism is also nature friendly.

With the obtained Green Key certificate, we are also entering the Green Scheme of Slovenian Tourism and the Slovenian touristic organisation is awarding us two green signs. Slovenia Green accommodation and Slovenia green cuisine. Everyone who visits us at Šenk's homestead is involved in the process of protecting the environment and thus has a positive impact on the most important thing we have - our Earth. Together we strive to reduce the consumption of water and electricity and biomass for heating energy, waste and separate them. We all work together ecologically even within our tourist destinations. From us, all mountain destinations can be easily reached on foot or by bike, and we also offer bicycles for rent. This can reduce the carbon footprint of your trip or vacation.
